Redesigning Ton’s Homepage to Drive Growth, Clarity and Conversion at Scale

A redesigned homepage experience focused on immediate value comprehension, faster decision-making and a growth-ready foundation for Ton’s long-term strategy.

1. Overview Ton’s homepage had high visibility but underperformed in driving conversion. The experience lacked clear value prioritization, structured decision paths and a scalable foundation, making it difficult for merchants to quickly understand the product offering and take action. This redesign focused on transforming the homepage into a system-driven, growth-oriented experience — improving clarity, enabling faster decision-making and creating a modular foundation for experimentation and long-term scalability. 2. Challenge The homepage is a critical acquisition and conversion surface. However, the existing experience introduced friction through: • competing elements and scattered messaging • weak differentiation between product tiers • inconsistent hierarchy reducing scanability • unclear decision paths for merchants • low readiness for experimentation and iteration As a result, users struggled to understand value quickly and move forward with confidence. 3. Diagnosis Through structural analysis and product thinking, I identified that the core issue was not visual quality, but lack of system and decision architecture. Key gaps included: • absence of a clear value-first narrative in the hero • fragmented content structure without logical progression • non-modular components limiting scalability • weak visual hierarchy impacting comprehension • lack of rhythm and contrast affecting readability and focus The homepage needed to function as a conversion system not just a marketing page. 4. Strategy The redesign was guided by four core principles: • Value-first communication Highlight key product benefits immediately, reducing time to understanding • Growth-ready modular system Enable rapid A/B testing, content variation and performance optimization • Decision-oriented structure Guide users through clear, predictable pathways toward action • Consistency and trust Reinforce credibility through strong visual hierarchy and system coherence 5. Solution The solution focused on rebuilding the homepage as a modular, scalable and performance-driven system. Key decisions included: • redesigning the hero to clearly communicate Ton’s core value and drive primary actions • structuring content into modular blocks for benefits, comparisons and pricing pathways • creating scalable components aligned with a design system mindset • improving hierarchy through typography, spacing and contrast for faster scanning • designing layouts that support performance campaigns and rapid iteration • reinforcing differentiation between product tiers to support better decision-making The result is a clearer, faster and more structured experience aligned with Ton’s growth strategy. 6. Results & Impact The redesigned homepage improves conversion and scalability by: • enabling faster value comprehension and reducing hesitation • creating clearer decision paths across product tiers • improving scanability and reducing cognitive load • strengthening brand consistency and perceived trust • enabling experimentation through a modular architecture • transforming the homepage into a scalable, performance-driven asset 7. Reflection This project demonstrates my approach to designing growth-oriented product systems. By focusing on structure, clarity and scalability, the redesign shifts the homepage from a static interface to a dynamic system that supports acquisition, experimentation and long-term evolution.
